Facilitator Course 2025

The Center for Advanced Education, Simulation and Innovation hosted the Simulation Facilitators Course sponsored by Jefferson, Penn Medicine, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, on August 11–13, 2025. This three-day interactive workshop designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and physician assistants, focused on problem-solving, and allowed participants to collaborate with simulation experts to achieve their educational objectives. Keynote speakers addressed national trends, followed by interactive sessions in which participants engaged in hands-on learning and practiced new skills as part of an interdisciplinary team..

New Certification 2025

Congratulations to Jackie O’Rourke Fulford, Simulation Coordinator at the Dixon Campus, who received her certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)!

Simulation User Network (SUN)

In May 2024, the Jefferson College of Nursing hosted a mini-SUN, Simulation User Network, at Dixon Campus. The event offered a unique opportunity for regional simulation educators to learn from each other by participating in learning sessions that included a panel presentation and hands on workshop.

Future of Simulation – What’s Next?

On October 12, 2022, the Philadelphia Area Simulation Consortium convened at Thomas Jefferson University College of Nursing’s Center for Advanced Simulation, Education and Innovation on the Dixon Campus for a full-day, in-person program titled, "Future of Simulation – What’s Next?". The event brought together simulation and healthcare professionals to explore emerging technologies, share scholarly work, and reflect on lessons learned shaping the future of simulation through keynote presentations, panels, workshops, and networking opportunities.
