About the Division
The Division of Population Science serves as a hub for cancer population research within the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University. As part of the Department of Medical Oncology, we work in close partnership with SKCCC research programs, clinical divisions across Jefferson Health, and the College of Population Health to advance behavioral, epidemiologic, data-driven, and community-engaged science. Our faculty bring expertise in behavioral science, epidemiology, implementation science, and outcomes research to accelerate discovery, strengthen cancer care delivery, and reduce the cancer burden across our catchment area and beyond.
Mission
We work to prevent cancer, detect it earlier, and improve the lives of people living with and beyond cancer by using population-based, behavioral, and data-driven approaches to develop and implement tailored, scalable interventions across healthcare and community settings.
Vision
To lead the nation in advancing population health through transformative cancer population science, educational excellence, and strong partnerships with our health system and communities.
