Fourth Year Medical Student

Visiting Medical Student Rotations

The Jefferson Department of Rehabilitation Medicine welcomes medical students who wish to have the opportunity to learn more about the specialty. Visiting students may enroll in REHAB 401 and will receive a wide breadth of exposure to the field in the inpatient and outpatient setting. This is a four-week rotation that is available in conjunction with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College schedule. We are unable to make exceptions to this schedule and unable to offer two-week rotations. Please be aware that a visiting student rotation is not a requirement in order to apply to our residency program, and all interested applicants are encouraged to apply through ERAS.

Students must have completed their core clerkships and have final year status at their respective medical school. Visiting students are accepted for four (4) week rotation only.

SKMC uses a rolling centralized process through VSLO for visiting students for our four-week elective in Rehabilitation Medicine. The process is opened by the Registrar in the spring after they have finished the internal student schedules.

If you have any questions about clinical electives at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, please email VisitingStudent@jefferson.edu.
