Office of Student Affairs & Career Counseling
Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC) has demonstrated leadership in all facets of medicine, including education, research, and health care. By building the medical school on the core principles of professionalism, including altruism, compassion, communication, ethics, and pursuit of medical knowledge, our graduates continue to impact countless individuals, communities, and health systems. As you navigate your medical journey at SKMC, remember that all of us are committed to providing guidance and support.
The Office for Student Affairs & Career Counseling (OSACC) is the central support resource throughout your medical school career. The deans and staff in SKMC Student Affairs work closely with the Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Wellness Programs, and student leaders to help ensure your success at SKMC. Our aim is to help you reach your goals for graduate medical education and beyond, and to do so with confidence, personal wellbeing, and with a continuing curiosity and passion for medicine. OSACC is readily available to students as they experience the rigorous curriculum of medical education, providing support in:
- Academic Advising
- Career Counseling
- The Residency Application Process
- Personal Support Services
- Student Wellness
Upon matriculation, each SKMC student is assigned to one of the deans in the Office of Student Affairs & Career Counseling, who will serve as their longitudinal advisor throughout medical school.
