Jefferson Humanities & Health Programs

Past Programs

  • The Empathy Project — a collaboration between Jefferson and Lantern Theater Company to foster empathy and tolerance for ambiguity among health professions students using the tools and techniques of the theatrical form.
  • Stop Requested: A Collection of ALS Poetry — opens a window into the lives of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their providers; detailing intimate accounts of confusion, suffering, fight, hope, and change that ALS patients experience during their disease progression.
  • Tangles in Time — created by people living with dementia, care partners and health professionals, performances are based on the performers’ own true stories of love, loss, illness and caring, as the project weaves together live performance with original music, film and visual imagery.
