You need not complete all prerequisites before you apply, but the majority should be completed before an admissions decision can be made. All prerequisites must be completed before you enter the program.
GPA: 3.0 overall GPA recommended; 3.0 science GPA recommended
Test scores: MCAT and GRE are not required
In addition to the following prerequisites, students must complete their bachelor's degree program before the start date of the PA program.

Additional recommended coursework: medical terminology, genetics, biochemistry, organic chemistry and physics
Direct patient care experience and PA shadowing experience strongly encouraged
Minimum grade of "B" in all prerequisite courses recommended
Course Clarification: All science courses must be completed within 10 years of application to Jefferson. Courses must be completed with a grade of “C-” or above to be eligible for transfer. A grade of “D“ or below will not be eligible for transfer. “B” to be considered competitive.
