Pre-Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences Pathway

Jefferson is one of the few academic health centers that awards a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences, offering graduates many career options in the field of radiologic sciences, including opportunities for advancement. Students can choose from various concentration options in Radiation Therapy, Medical Dosimetry, Cardiac Sonography, Computed Tomography (CT), Radiography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and several others.

Student in the Accelerated BS in Health Sciences - Pre-Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences (Pre-MIRS) pathway program will complete all required pre-professional coursework needed to be successful in upper-division professional courses at the Center City campus. 

While in the pathway program students will begin the process of working with faculty to select concentrations in the Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences professional program. Students who interview and maintain progression criteria are guaranteed to matriculate into the professional phase. Academic advisors and faculty will closely work with pathway students to ensure that they are on pace to transition into the professional phase of the program.
