Clinical Compliance
Welcome to clinical compliance at Jefferson College of Nursing! Clinical Compliance is required to ensure students are prepared to begin their clinical learning experiences.
Students are required to complete compliance prior to beginning the program (pre-matriculation) and prior to beginning clinical experiences. Students may need to renew compliance items to ensure currency.
Pre-Matriculation Compliance
Pre-matriculation compliance is completed through Exxat APPROVE. Pre-matriculation compliance encompasses health requirements & immunizations, urine drug screening, certifications & training, and background screening. Students will receive an email invitation from Exxat to create an account and begin compliance.

For students interested in seeking exemption from specific compliance requirements, please email jcnexemptions@jefferson.edu to request or inquire about a medical and/or religious exemption.
Clinical Site Compliance
Clinical sites may require additional compliance before the start of clinical rotations. It is imperative that students review and complete this compliance in a timely manner, as this compliance is required before starting the rotation.
Maintaining Compliance
During the program, students must maintain up-to-date compliance in their APPROVE account at all times.
