Graduate Preceptor Information
Precepting opportunities are available during the fall, spring and summer semesters for the following Nurse Practitioner (NP) programs: Adult Gerontology Acute Care, Adult Gerontology Primary Care, Family-Individual Across the Lifespan, Neonatal, Pediatric Primary Care, Psychiatric Mental Health and Woman’s Health Gender Related.
A full rotation is approximately two days a week (250 hours). Students can also complete partial rotations with a preceptor.
Preceptor requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP), Doctor of Medicine (MD), or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- One year in practice
Preceptor Benefits:
- Preceptors receive a 25% tuition discount for Jefferson College of Nursing programs each semester they precept a Jefferson College of Nursing student.
- Preceptors may be eligible for voluntary faculty appointments.
