MD/MPH - HMSOM

The MPH degree option is open to medical students enrolled at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM).

HMSOM students complete coursework for the MPH during their individualized Phase 3 year.

MPH students from HMSOM begin in the Pre-fall term and finish their (MPH) coursework in the spring trimester. The MPH degree is conferred in May of that year.

Physicians with an MPH degree are prepared to make a difference at the patient's side and in the community. The degree provides advanced training in research and education and informs clinical practice with underserved populations. Physicians with an MPH degree assume leadership positions in the healthcare setting, in state and local public health departments, non-governmental health organizations, and in the global context.

Jefferson's Master of Public Health (MPH) program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
