Facilities Operations & Maintenance is responsible for the basic operation and managed care of the physical facilities of the University. Our intention toward comprehensive stewardship allows our historically and award-winning, 100-plus-year-old mansions to be enjoyed alongside modern and architecturally award-winning academic buildings.
Thomas Jefferson University is proud to have been a reigning recipient of the APPA Award for Excellence. This is the highest award for educational facilities management, and once awarded remains current for five years. The University received this award in 2009 and again in 2014.
In 2013, the University received APPA's Award for Sustainability which validated the University's collective commitment to this important part of our mission.
A long time Green Power partner of the EPA, Thomas Jefferson University was awarded Leadership Club distinction and the EPA's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship as the largest user of green power in the conference. Maintained excellence, sustainability and ongoing improvement are all attributes the department strives to attain every day
