The “Urban Mobility & Population Health” research has developed a data-driven urban mobility simulation platform that can predict people’s travel behavior via different modes of transport and evaluate the associated environmental and health impacts. The Center City of Philadelphia was modeled and analyzed as the studying area, and particularly, the urban mobility simulation was conducted in both existing and proposed urban scenarios including new tall buildings and public transit system. This platform is accessible through an interactive and dynamic graphical interface and facilitated by augmented reality (AR) technologies. The research was exhibited with a collateral event of the Biennale Architettura 2023, partnered with Università Iuav di Venezia (IUAV), and also presented in a research symposium organized by IUAV, as part of the "Cities under Climate Threat" exhibition.
