Orientation: Foundations

Welcome New Students

Orientation: Foundations is led by the Office of Student Life & Engagement within the Department of Campus Life & Enrichment. The purpose of Orientation: Foundations is to provide students with all the university-wide resources and informational content necessary for a successful transition in the Jefferson community. Participation is required for students enrolled in an in-person graduate program, on the Center City Campus, that begins in either the Summer ’26 or Fall ’26 term.

2026-2027 Orientation: Foundations Session Dates

The Office of Student Life & Engagement will host Orientation: Foundations sessions on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, May 20th
  • Tuesday, June 23rd
  • Thursday, July 16th
  • Wednesday, August 5th

All Orientation: Foundations sessions will take place in Jefferson Alumni Hall from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

A Few Highlights of the Day & What to Expect

  • Meet and network with your fellow colleagues.
  • Connect with various university student service offices such as: Student Health Services, Residence Life, Commuter Services, Academic/Career Services, Information Services & Technology, Campus Life & Enrichment, Study Away, and Jefferson Health Plans.
  • Learn about how our JeffersonLeads program will help develop you into a more well-rounded leader by connecting your academic and co-curricular experiences through the integration of nationally aligned leadership practices. 
  • Receive and win exclusive Jefferson swag and prizes.
  • Enjoy the provided breakfast and lunch.

Registration to attend an Orientation: Foundations session begins on Monday, April 6th, 2026. We recommend that you select the session that best aligns with your program’s orientation session, if applicable. All required and/or assigned orientation sessions must be completed to successfully remove your Orientation Hold. We look forward to meeting you and learning more about how we can support you.
