Welcome to Jefferson! We look forward to providing you with a strong foundation for your time as a student here. The Office of Student Life & Engagement is happy to share information about the University Orientation experience with you below.
In order to provide the most comprehensive and immersive experience, the University Orientation experience consists of two main components: the Online Orientation and the onsite Orientation: Foundations session. Through completing both components, you will set yourself up for success as you begin your time at Jefferson. For the 2026-2027 orientation season, only students enrolled in an in-person graduate program on the Center City Campus are required to attend an onsite Orientation: Foundations session.
Your University Orientation program will focus on introducing you to Jefferson as a whole, giving you important information on the programs and services available to you, as well as highlighting important university-wide policies. Students in some academic areas may have an additional orientation, specific to their college, department, or program; information about that orientation will come from your corresponding academic area. You will be expected to complete all orientation programs.
All questions pertaining to Online Orientation should be referred to the Office of Student Life & Engagement (OSLE) at StudentLife@jefferson.edu, while all questions pertaining to Orientation: Foundations should be referred to NSOFoundations@jefferson.edu.
Below is what our office hopes to accomplish through University Orientation.
