Landscape Architecture

In the United States, most registration boards require a degree from an accredited professional degree program as a prerequisite for licensure. The National Landscape Architectural Accrediting Board (LAAB), is the sole agency authorized to accredit professional degree programs in landscape architecture offered by institutions with U.S. regional accreditation. A program may be granted a six-year, or two-year term of accreditation, depending on the extent of its conformance with established educational standards.

Jefferson's College of Architecture, Design & Engineering program offers the following LAAB-accredited degree program:

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture

  1. Founded in 2006, the Landscape Architecture Program leads to a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree and has been accredited by LAAB since 2007.
  2. 134-137 total number of credits are required for graduation from the program.
  3. In September of 2021, the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board, (LAAB), granted the Landscape Architecture program a six-year accreditation term.
  4. The next accreditation visit for the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program is in 2027.
