College of Life Sciences
The Jefferson College of Life Sciences provides undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral education and research training in the life sciences to prepare our students to make significant contributions in life science through careers in academia, industry and government. Graduates have gone on to continue with additional graduate and professional education and training programs or directly on to successful careers at colleges and universities, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, healthcare settings, government agencies and many other professional venues.

Biochemistry at Thomas Jefferson University prepares students with essential knowledge of biomedical sciences for research, development and production within the chemical, biochemical and pharmaceutical industries. Pre-Medical Studies at Thomas Jefferson University is an umbrella program providing the appropriate coursework and experiential learning to prepare students for future doctoral programs including medical, dental, veterinary, podiatric, physical therapy and pharmacy schools. The program involves first year medical school-based courses, the completion of two external preceptorships for more than 100 hours’ experience, pathway programs into medical and dental schools, and opportunities for global clinical experiences through Global Medical Brigades.
