Industry leaders regularly partner with Thomas Jefferson University for a sneak peak at our talented students while getting innovative solutions to real-world problems. Take a look at a few of our recent visitors:

Abercrombie & Fitch Company Presentation/Assignment Challenge: select students were awarded internships and full time positions.

Target Recruiting Presentation: Target headquarters regularly recruits our textile design students for internships and full time opportunities in their print and fabric development departments.

Nike Portfolio & Recruitment Presentation: Nike representatives come to campus to present corporate opportunities and recruit interns and full time employees.

Urban Outfitters. This Philadelphia based brand continues to have a strong and ongoing relationship with our textile design faculty, and regularly recruits our students as interns and full-time employees.

Competitions & Exhibitions

Our students also get exposure by showcasing their work in gallery-style shows, before audiences of faculty, family and potential employers.

Textile Design Show

Textile designers participate in senior shows at the completion of their degree. Textile design holds an annual exhibition in December, to showcase the work of graduating students. In May, textile designers participate in a university-wide Design Show, highlighting work of all graduating design majors, which draws talent scouts to campus.

Annual Fashion Show

Held at Sherman Mills in Philadelphia, textile design students collaborate with fashion design students by creating original fabrics for their partners to develop garments. All garments are juried for inclusion in the Annual Fashion Show.

Design Expo & Career Fair

Potential employers come to Thomas Jefferson University for the opportunity to recruit our talented textile designers. Students post portfolios online to encourage potential employers to make appointments, and many students secure excellent positions.
