Add/Drop period ends 7 days after the start of the semester. After this period you will not be eligible for a full refund. Please refer to the chart on the Registrar’s webpage (about half way down) to find the percent of refund you will be eligible for.

After the Add/Drop period ends, leaving a class is considered a WITHDRAWAL. A withdrawal can impact financial aid and academic progress. Please consult your program director/academic advisor.

JCLS MS International students in part time programs are required to take a minimum of 5 credits per semester to maintain student status. Please consult your Program Director or Office of International Affairs (OIA) with specific questions.

Note there are restrictions on the number of online courses students in these statuses can take each term. F-1 students are permitted only one course up to 3 credits online each term towards their full-time requirement, and J-1 students are permitted only one course online each term.

For part time MS programs, tuition is charged per credit hour plus library and technology fees. For the specific amounts, please see Graduate Program Tuition and Fees by Program, College of Life Sciences

 Some JCLS MS programs have a comprehensive fee instead of paying per credit hour.

JCLS MS Students are required to take 5 credits to meet Financial Aid requirements.

You must be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen.

International Students—if you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you are ineligible for federal, state, and need-based university funds.

International students could possibly qualify for a Private Alternative loan. Lenders such as Citizens Bank and Sallie Mae will lend to them with a U.S. co-signer. 

Priority deadline for incoming students: April 1.

Priority deadline for returning students: March 15.
