Graduate Student Association
Social Programming
The GSA organizes consistent social programming throughout the year to help students get to know each other, and to provide a much needed break from lab and work schedules. At the beginning of the year, the GSA hosts Welcome Month events to help new students adjust to life at Jefferson and to think of it as home. These include: social hours at a local restaurant, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and a lunch for PhD students following their first big exam in GC550.
The Fall Charity Bash is held at a local restaurant were students have the opportunity to provide donations for Jefferson's Ramily Market and Philabundance with an opportunity to win raffle prizes. To heat up the winter doldrums, the GSA hosts another opportunity for students to come together for the Winter Bash off campus at a local pub.
The final event of the year is a 'Summer Social' on Jefferson's campus. This event has great food, games, and time to reflect on the year together.
