Nursing STEP-UP
Program Information
The Nursing Summer Training and Enrichment Program (Nursing STEP-UP) will be a hybrid model this year.
Nursing STEP-UP is open to rising high school juniors and seniors and offers an introduction to the field of nursing and its various disciplines.
The program includes:
- college application preparation, including personal statement writing, resume development, and comprehensive SAT workshops delivered by a name-brand company
- classroom and simulation experiences
- time management and study skills training
- student mentoring
The mandatory SAT prep class will take place virtually Monday through Thursday, and virtual or in-person enrichment activities will take place in the afternoons. There will be field trips and scheduled in-person simulation experiences at the Jefferson College of Nursing campuses.
Application Deadline
The application deadline for the 2024 summer program is May 15, 2024.

Program Details
Audience: High school students who will be in 11th or 12th grade as of September 1, 2024.
Dates: July 1 - July 26, 2024
Time:
9:00-11:00 a.m. - Mandatory SAT Prep Class
12:00-2:30 pm - Nursing & Career Development
Fridays - Simulation Activities & Field Trips
Location: Hybrid format with the first week from July 1st to 7th, online for SAT Prep (9 a.m. to 11 a.m.) from Monday to Thursday. The remaining SAT prep lessons from July 8th - 26th will take place on-campus, requiring students to report at 8:30 a.m.
