SummerScience@Jefferson

Dive into the vital and expanding field of biomedical science with SummerScience@Jefferson, where rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors can build proficiency in real-life research practices.

Dates: June 26 – July 25, 2023

Cost: $600 / Scholarships available

Future Health Professionals Program

Experience the possibilities of a career in healthcare with the Future Health Professionals Program, where students get an inside perspective on different professions through hands-on activities and interaction with current practitioners.

Dates: Wednesdays, October 19, 2022 - March 8, 2023
Time:  4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cost:  Free
Location: Jefferson - Center City Campus

Nursing STEP-UP

Explore the field of nursing with Jefferson’s Summer Training and Enrichment Program (STEP-UP). This program for rising high school juniors and seniors includes SAT prep and personal development workshops.

Location: Virtual learning with small in-person simulation experiences on Jefferson College of Nursing campuses

JCRS REACH Program for Rehabilitation Sciences

If helping people is your passion, discover the impact you can have in the rehabilitation sciences (occupational therapy, physical therapy, athletic training, exercise science, and speech language pathology). This program for rising high school juniors and seniors includes strategies to navigate the college application process.

CABE Summer Academy for Architectural Disciplines

Exciting career opportunities abound in architecture and design — rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to explore these fields with Jefferson’s College of Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE).

What are the “architectural disciplines”? We’re glad you asked! They include Architecture, Construction Management, Historic Preservation, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Real Estate Development. 

Dates:  
July 17 – 21, 2023 or July 24 - 28, 2023 required Career Discovery Week

After completing the required course, explore further with optional courses:

July 24 – 28, 2023 optional course in Architecture, Interior Design, or Construction Management
July 31 – August 4, 2023 optional course in Architecture, Interior Design or Landscape Architecture 
August 7 – 11, 2023 optional on-campus Exploration and Design Week

Time: 10:00  a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $50 nonrefundable fee due at application; $250/week. Scholarships available.

KDEC Workshops in Textile Design & Fashion

If a career in fashion is calling your name, the Kanbar College of Design, Engineering & Commerce (KDEC) has workshops for you. These spots go fast!

This week-long workshop introduces students to textile design principles and techniques focused on color, texture, materiality, trend, and end-use while helping students understand career paths. 

Dates: July 11 – July 15, 2022
Time:  Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. / Friday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $250

This week-long workshop introduces students to the design process from concept research to crafting a collection. No prior sewing, sketching, or computer-aided design experience required.

Dates: July 11 – July 15, 2022
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
Cost: $200

This two-day workshop introduces students to careers in the business of fashion, exploring marketing and merchandising concepts in a consumer-driven market. 

Dates: July 13 – July 14, 2022
