Research & Clinical Interest

Dr. McKinney’s research experience includes: health disparities, interracial families, nursing and mental health leadership development, race identity/relations, socialization, and trauma. As a published researcher, Dr. McKinney presents scholarly research locally, nationally and internationally, and also participates in invited speaking engagements.

Clinically, Dr. McKinney operates a private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs. As well, she counsels at a local non-profit organization. Dr. McKinney particularly helps others navigate issues of identity, infidelity, life transitions, pre-engagement/martial counseling, relationship concerns and spirituality matters.

Dr. McKinney lives for spending leisure time with loved ones. She is the Godmother to five, precious Goddaughters, a pawrent to a sweet kitty cat and plant mom to a myriad of plants.
