Through a mixture of electives and some required courses, students in the PharmD program can complete certificates while earning the Doctor of Pharmacy.
PharmD students can earn a Graduate Certificate in Population Health Pharmacy with the completion of five courses, including PHRM 519 Healthcare Delivery Systems, which all PharmD students take. They can take the remaining four courses as electives in the PharmD.
Students complete the 20-hour American Pharmacists Association’s Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate program during Spring of the P2 year in PHRM 542, Pharmacy Practice Laboratory I as a required element of the course. This program provides the required education to pursue a license to immunize.
Students complete the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association’s Delivering Enhanced Patient Care Parts I and II training program during Spring of the P3 year in PHRM 548, Pharmacy Practice Laboratory III as a required element of the course. This program prepares pharmacists to provide enhanced patient care services.
