Her clinical expertise encompasses the management of hematologic cancers and the application of stem cell transplantation in both malignant and non-malignant disorders, such as sickle cell anemia. Dr. Filicko-O’Hara has contributed to research on immune reconstitution following stem cell transplantation and has been involved in studies evaluating the efficacy of various treatment regimens for hematologic malignancies. She has also co-authored publications on topics like the use of bendamustine in combination with other agents for relapsed or refractory aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the treatment of adenovirus disease in stem cell transplant recipients.
