Neurocritical Care

Message from the Program Directors

Dear Fellowship Candidate

Welcome to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Fellowship Training Program in Neurocritical Care.

Jefferson provides exceptional care, leadership and innovation. Our fellows are mentored and supported to become contributing members of the neurocritical and medical society as a whole. They are provided with a training experience and exposure that will allow them to feel comfortable and be decisive in even the most discerning clinical situations. We have a built a training program that encompasses not only ample neurocritical time, but also training in bedside ultrasound, advanced airway management, bronchoscopy, transcranial ultrasonography, neuromonitoring, critical care EEG, and general critical care. The fellows at our institution are provided with individual guidance and mentorship. This includes faculty mentors designated for research endeavors as well as career development. We meet individually with fellows to help identify and tailor the appropriate career direction to ensure personal satisfaction and professional contributions.  Applicants with a variety of long-term goals are welcome, including future directors of an intensive care unit, leaders of clinical innovation, and grant-funded investigators.
