The Vascular Fellowship program provides comprehensive training in the management of both ischemic and hemorrhagic cardiovascular diseases. Fellows develop expertise through hands-on patient care, clinical research projects, educational activities, and quality improvement initiatives in a high-volume academic setting.
Fellows participate in stroke codes, neurocritical care consultations, inpatient and outpatient vascular neurology, as well as teleneurology, and vascular imaging. They also engage in scholarly activities with close faculty mentorship, focusing on professional development and leadership skills.
We place a strong emphasis on clinical research and education, supported by a multidisciplinary faculty. Our approach to treating complex neurovascular patients is collaborative, involving specialists in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, interventional and structural cardiology, as well as vascular surgery. Additionally, our fellows receive comprehensive training in telestroke care, which has become a vital component of vascular neurology. Upon completing the program, graduates will be eligible for board certification in vascular neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
