Research & Clinical Interests

Karolynn Echols, MD, FACOG, FPMRS, FABOIM is one of the Philadelphia region’s Board Certified, fellowship-trained Urogynecologists and the only Urogynecologist currently in the world who is board certified in Integrative Medicine.

Her clinical interests and expertise include comprehensive approach to urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse and genital fistula. Her current research interests include integrative medicine as it applies to urogynecology and pelvic pain, urinary incontinence and regenerative medicine, global medicine and the utilization of integrative medicine to stop opioid use/abuse. Her current projects include acupuncture usage in urogynecology, development of a natural ERAS protocol and regenerative medicine utilization in pelvic pain and incontinence.
