Residency

Thomas Jefferson University accepts all applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications submitted in any other form will not be reviewed.

We expect to offer 8 DR spots, 2 Integrated IR, and 2 Independent IR spots for the year ahead.

The Radiology Residency program uses clinical settings throughout the Jefferson Health System in order to give our residents the most diverse educational experience. Residents will spend time the majority of their time at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and ambulatory sites on the Jefferson campus, located within one block from TJUH. Limited rotations will also take place at Methodist Hospital, located 3 miles south of TJUH, and also at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.

Opportunities are available at Jefferson Center City Imaging, an outpatient imaging center located on the Jefferson campus, to monitor off hour contrast injections.

Our residency program is very competitive. Although scores on USMLE examinations are an important factor in our selection process, there are no official score requirements to apply to the program. We prefer to evaluate each applicant on his or her own individual merits.

Our program has a very competitive application process. However, graduates from any medical college are invited to submit applications, and will be subject to our usual application procedures. The University sponsors both H-1 and J-1 visas.
