Diversity & Inclusion in Radiology

The Department of Radiology is committed to providing an inclusive environment and a diverse, culturally competent workforce that is representative of the patients that we serve. Our faculty and house staff are actively involved in research and community outreach programs that address health disparities. The Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Department of Radiology is an active committee composed of faculty and residents. In addition to coordinating regular training and educational opportunities for the department, residents take an active role in mentoring and participation in pathway programs on going at Jefferson for students underrepresented in medicine. The participation of residents in these activities is a fundamental part of our mission to support and provide our future radiologists with initiatives and education that will promote culturally competent patient care as well as opportunities for research.
