Student Health Services - Center City (SHS-CC) provides a comprehensive medical home to Thomas Jefferson University students in downtown Philadelphia. We provide inclusive, evidence-based care and support health education across the eight dimensions of wellness – physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, financial and occupational. We strongly believe that the health of students is imperative to their wellbeing and success and that compassionate care is central to the mission of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health.
SHS-CC provides care to all students without regard to race, color, national or ethnic origin, marital status, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or veteran’s status.
Eligibility
All students enrolled at Thomas Jefferson University can schedule an appointment with Student Health Services - Center City beginning the first day of orientation.
Scheduling
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 215-395-8087. Patients should identify themselves as Jefferson students when scheduling. Subsequent appointments may be scheduled by phone or online via MyChart. Appointments are available on a rolling basis with some appointments available in advance, and others saved for acute visits the same day.

If you need advice because you are unsure whether medical attention is needed overnight or if you can wait until morning to schedule an appointment, an after-hours triage line is staffed in conjunction with Jefferson Family Medicine and can be reached for emergency advice only by calling the SHS-CC phone number, 215-395-8087. Students must have at least one visit with SHS-CC, still be enrolled at Jefferson and have an active MyChart to use this service. After hours, advice cannot be provided if students have not previously established care at SHS-CC.
