Jefferson Occupational Health Network (JOHN) is the University partner for all employee and student matters related to health and safety on campus or in the clinical setting. Student Health Services – Center City and JOHN work closely together to provide the best care in the learning/working environment.

JOHN is located on the second floor below Student Health Services - Center City at 33 South 9th Street, Suite 205, Philadelphia, PA, 19107 and can be reached by calling 215-955-6836.
JOHN manages matriculation documentation, immunization requirements and forms for Thomas Jefferson University, clinical rotation requirements, and away rotations. JOHN provides drug testing, proof of immunizations, FIT testing, tuberculosis screenings and evaluation of injuries/exposures on-campus or at affiliates and clinical sites. Medical Leave of Absences and Return from Leave are managed through the JOHN office.
Additionally, JOHN is the first line resource for needlesticks and exposures. If you experience exposure to bodily fluids, please call JOHN immediately at 215-955-6836. Yearly influenza vaccination is required for university employees and students. Students may receive their flu shots through JOHN’s annual flu vaccination program each fall. If you receive your immunization through Student Health Services – Center City or an outside pharmacy/provider, it is your responsibility to annually update the Complio portal.
