Student Health Services - Center City has no educational oversight, and does not participate in any evaluations, provide recommendations or share information with the University.
When students do receive treatment from other Jefferson Health providers, Jefferson has strict policies for faculty recusal from evaluations, grading and recommendations.
Students seen as patients at Student Health Services - Center City have rights as Jefferson Health patients and are protected by HIPAA laws. Student Health Services - Center City does not have access to students’ academic records beyond confirming enrollment for eligibility to be seen in the clinic.

Health information is not shared or discussed with anyone (including parents) unless written permission is granted to Student Health Services - Center City staff. Release of medical information requires the Authorization to Release Protected Health Information Form (linked below) to be completed and returned to Student Health Services - Center City.
Please be aware that while health information is confidential, insurance providers do send Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) to the health insurance subscriber (sometimes a parent), which lists services and tests provided.
