As a student in the program, you will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, participate in international competitions, manage an investment portfolio through the Student Managed Investment Fund, study abroad for a semester, and earn your Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in one additional year while preparing for the Chartered Financial Analyst Level I (CFA) exam.

Jefferson finance students John Sexton and Stone Campbell—student-athletes and co-founders—took their entrepreneurial ambitions beyond the classroom to launch Northline Digitals. Their web development and digital marketing company helps local businesses strengthen their online presence, demonstrating how hands-on learning at Jefferson translates into real-world impact.
In December 2025, Thomas Jefferson University hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the Thackrah Capital Markets Research Lab. The new $1.8 million research lab, made possible by a donation from alumnus and philanthropist John Thackrah, is open to all academic programs within the School of Business.
My finance classes, along with my general business classes, challenged my creativity in ways that it hasn't ever been before. I've loved getting to know both the students and professors involved in my major. The small class sizes facilitate a great relationship with the professors, and all of my professors have shown that they genuinely care about the success of our futures.
