About the Program

Nurses are the largest group of healthcare professionals in the U.S., and are projected to be in the top ten most in demand jobs in the coming years. Rated the most trusted and respected healthcare provider by a recent Gallup survey, nurses play an integral role as patient advocates in increasingly diverse healthcare environments.

If you are compassionate and work well with people, the Jefferson Bachelor of Science in Nursing program can strengthen your skills to prepare you for leadership roles in nursing, from clinical positions, to patient advocacy and healthcare reform.

Nursing Preparation at Jefferson

At Jefferson, you will be treated as a professional from day one. In our stimulating and supportive environment, you will build a strong foundation in sciences and psychology, preparing you for success in upper-division courses for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Thomas Jefferson University. You will have the opportunity to take courses with other pre-medical, health science and future nursing students, and experience undergraduate life on the Jefferson East Falls campus.

The courses you’ll complete in this program fulfill all necessary prerequisites for preferred placement in Jefferson’s College of Nursing BSN program.
