Meet Our Alumni: Kelsey Kaplowitz

What did you study at Jefferson?

I majored in Biopsychology.

Where are you from originally?

Bridgewater, NJ

What was the best part of your time at Jefferson?

The best part of my time at Jefferson was living on campus. I was able to devote my time to school, activities, and playing lacrosse. Being fully engulfed in the campus community made my time here so special. Specifically, as a Resident Assistant, I learned more about myself and my campus community.

What has having a Jefferson degree done for you?

Having a Jefferson degree has allowed me to apply the tools I learned on campus to my future career goals. I have been able to use my degree to apply for several job types, and graduate degree programs. My course work here has allowed me to enter a graduate program following my graduation in May 2022.

What are you doing now?

I am currently working as a medical scribe in an emergency department. In September, I will begin my Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University – New Brunswick.

What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?

People might be surprised that I can juggle 3 tennis balls.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to our current students?

I would suggest that current students value their time at Jefferson. My time here was enjoyable and flew by. Taking advantage of living on campus, made my time here so valuable. If I could go back and do it again, I would value my time more.
