Dr. Catherine Harris Publishes Book, "Adult Gerontology Acute Care Practice Guidelines"

Catherine Harris, PhD, MBA, AG-ACNP, Associate Professor in the Jefferson College of Nursing published a first of its kind book entitled, "Adult Gerontology Acute Care Practice Guidelines". This evidence-based resource provides nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other advanced practice providers with the clinical knowledge they need to practice adult-gerontology acute care effectively.

Written in a quick-reference format, this book describes more than 90 common acute care conditions health care providers are likely to see in their acute care practice and disseminates 20 procedural guidelines. An interprofessionally contributed text, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians provide expert insight into each condition, enabling readers to categorize symptoms, be alert to the distinguishing features of disease symptoms or clusters, and find associated diagnoses.
