Biography
Dr. Taylor Goulbourne is a Teaching Fellow at the Jefferson College of Population Health. Her research works to center communication in community engagement processes to address persistent health disparities. She uses a mixed methods approach to understand the communication structures, mechanisms, and processes that inform how researchers, practitioners, and interventionists make decisions regarding community engagement. Dr. Goulbourne is also a Research Project Manager in Philabundance’s Impact & Evaluation department. In this role, she is responsible for defining long-range goals and objectives for existing community programs and processes, collecting, and synthesizing mixed-methods data, and developing and implementing relevant research frameworks. Prior to joining Philabundance, she served as a consultant for various public health organizations and institutions. Dr. Goulbourne earned her PhD in Communication from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.
