Biography

Jeff Cockrum, JD, MA, CRC, CDMS, CLCP is a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), credentialed by the International Commission on Health Care Certification.  Mr. Cockrum practices as a vocational rehabilitation counsellor and is credentialed as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Disability Management Specialist. He has over 18 years’ experience working with members of the military transitioning to civilian workplaces, injured industry workers, personal injury clients and individuals in need of vocational rehabilitation. Within his practice he has worked with clients who have a variety of rehabilitation needs including those with mental health, orthopaedic, neurologic and degenerative diseases and conditions. His legal work includes personal injury claims, workers compensation claims, employment law and employment mitigation, and the completion of life-care plans for the catastrophically injured. He has appeared in front of the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA) in Washington and in local superior courts. He has also served as a vocational expert on thousands of cases for disability benefits for the Social Security Administration. Mr. Cockrum is also a licensed attorney and has served on the Seattle University Law Review as a Research and Technical Editor. Mr. Cockrum excited about the opportunity to talk about the law, rules of evidence, and life-care planning.
