Using Cognitive Disabilities Model (CDM) in Practice
This virtual program introduces occupational therapy practitioners to using the Cognitive Disabilities Model (CDM) in practice. Practitioners working with populations with cognitive impairments such as dementia, brain injury and psychosocial dysfunction will deepen their ability to apply the CDM in assessment and intervention planning.
Requirement: Learners will need access to the ACL-5 Manual and test materials for learning activities during this lab.
Using Cognitive Disabilities Model (CDM) Assessments in Practice
This virtual program introduces occupational therapy practitioners to two assessments associated with the Cognitive Disabilities Model: Allen Diagnostic Module and the Functional Capacity Card Sort. Practitioners will learn how to use these assessments to plan treatment for their patients/clients and care partners. Participants should have a basic understanding of the Cognitive Disabilities Model.
