Research & Clinical Interests

My research focuses on the development of translational solutions for craniofacial reconstruction through the integration of 3D bioprinting, stem cell biology, and biomaterials engineering. Our lab studies bioengineered bone constructs containing growth factors and stem cells which are matured in vitro and subsequently decellularized to create off-the-shelf products. This approach has the potential to overcome current limitations in patient-specific regenerative therapies, which often require prolonged culture periods and multiple surgeries. Clinically, my interests lie in the application of regenerative medicine to oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a focus on improving outcomes in bone augmentation, and repair of traumatic defects. My long-term goal is to provide innovative, single-surgery solutions that accelerate functional recovery.
