Applications will be will be considered on a rolling basis. 

The Cardiothoracic Fellowship program is non-AGCME-accredited and does NOT participate in the NRMP match program.

There will be either in-person or online interviews offered to the appropriate candidates who meet the requirements.

Applicants will be notified as decisions are made.

Applicant Prerequisites

  • Applicants must meet all institutional and program requirements for appointment to a subspecialty fellowship in radiology. Eligibility is determined in accordance with institutional policies and national standards for graduate medical education.
  • Medical Education: Applicants must have graduated from a medical school accredited by the LCME or AOA, or an international medical school with valid ECFMG certification.
  • Prior Graduate Medical Education: Applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME‑accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency, or a RCPSC‑accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency, or an equivalent residency training program that meets institutional standards for fellowship appointment.
  • Residents currently in training must be on track to complete all residency requirements before the fellowship start date.
  • Board Eligibility or Certification: Applicants must be a board‑eligible or board‑certified in Diagnostic Radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR), or in track to obtain ABR eligibility or hold an equivalent certification recognized by the institution for international graduates.
  • Licensure: Applicants must be eligible for a full medical license, or a training license, depending on state regulations and institutional policy. Eligibility typically requires successful completion of all required licensing examinations (e.g., USMLE Steps 1–3 or COMLEX equivalents).
  • Visa Status (for International Medical Graduates): International applicants must possess valid ECFMG certification, and eligibility for a J‑1 or H‑1B or O visa, consistent with institutional sponsorship policies.
