Childlike with a Taurus Sun Sign

This piece was created to show how my introversion when creating brings about introspection and calmness. The water depicts the calmness that I feel while sitting in a creative moment. The scorpion’s tail wrapping around the seashell shows that I can come off mysterious and feel powerful. The triangles throughout the piece are pointing at the woman to show how she is introspective. I used a lot of yellows to show creativity, lightness and happiness. In contrast, the purples are used to symbolize mystery, power, ambition and independence. The bottom lines that flow but have no clear direction show the inner turmoil of needing to create to feel this type of power and happiness. While painting the blue repeating lines at the top of this piece, I felt a lot of direction and peace with the repetition. These lines are to create a sense of being held and secure within me.
