Hear what our MSOL graduates have to say about their experience and why they chose the program.
“As a graduate of Jefferson (formerly known as Philadelphia University), when I was looking for Organizational Leadership programs, I was interested in a program that was fully online and compatible with a full time job. The newness of the program was exciting and the opportunity to take six classes a year fit with my goals to complete my degree in two years or less. Speaking to [Director of Admissions] about the program answered all my questions and made me decide this was the right next step for my education.” Like many students, Ivy was hesitant about returning to school, but the pandemic convinced her it was time for a change, “I previously had not anticipated returning to school after completing my Bachelor’s degree, but the pandemic made me realize I was burned out in my previous position and industry. I was unsure if I would be able to make a career change without going back to school, but I wanted a degree that would complement my background without pigeonholing me. A few months after enrolling in the MSOL program, I found a new career with an amazing company (Gusto), and I enjoy being able to directly relate what I am learning to my day to day work.” – Ivy Castelgrande; Customer Engagement Team Lead, Gusto
“I chose the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program at Jefferson because I wanted to further my knowledge and qualifications for my current position. As a graduate of Jefferson for my undergraduate degree, I knew Jefferson would give me the education I required at a pace that I could handle.” – Harold Cofer III; Paramedic Lieutenant with the Philadelphia Fire Department
“I am truly enjoyed the program and the challenges that it presents. I have learned a lot of new information and appreciate the feedback and tips that have been shared. I have no doubt that the content of this program will lead me on new and exciting paths as it relates to future leadership roles.” – Karen Gardner; Strategic Sourcing Manager, TD Bank
“Really take the time to understand the work. So much of what we have accomplished in this program is transferable into our current and future professional careers. Do not be afraid to ask questions and engage with fellow classmates. There are other opportunities to learn and grow within this program aside from the designated assignments.” – Jason Kane; Vice President for Revenue Cycle Management, Inspira Health
“A great program overall. As someone who was hesitant to return to school, the program built seamlessly on itself and offered exciting concentrations that were both interesting and made sense for my professional development. The flexibility to learn asynchronously and to remain in control of my course schedule was the best option for my personal and professional life. I enjoyed the diversity of professors and the smaller cohort sizes, which allowed me to form closer relationships with fellow classmates.” – Brittany Goodrich; Director, Kennedy Willis Center on Down Syndrome
"If you’re considering the MSOL program, I would absolutely recommend it, especially if you’re looking to grow into a more intentional leader. One of my biggest takeaways was gaining a clearer understanding of my own management style and how I show up as a leader. This program gives you practical framework you can apply immediately. You’ll also get out of the program what you put into it. The discussions and networking opportunities are where the real value happens. I’ve been able to connect with professionals from a variety of industries which has strengthened my professional network. Overall, this program is a great fit if you’re looking to grow in your career, refine your leadership approach, and build connections." – Maura Wasilewski, Disease Site Research Manager, Fox Chase Cancer Center
