Paying for Your Jefferson Degree

We accept a variety of credits for transfer into the bachelor’s degree program. A total of up to 90 credits may be transferred into the bachelor’s degree.  

Students may transfer credits from:

• Previously attended colleges, universities, or institutes (college-level courses with grade C or higher)
• Credit for Prior Learning
• Military training (military transcripts are available at www.acenet.edu)
• College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) exams
• Paramedic Certification (20+ credits)
• Philadelphia Carpenters JAC graduates (48 credits)

The Office of Student Financial Aid helps students secure federal, state, institutional and private funding. 

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete FAFSA. Please follow instructions listed on the website or follow our step-by-step guide. (Students enrolling in the summer semester must complete the the 25-26 and 26-27 FAFSA.)

Step 2: Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note

FAFSA Verification - Verification is a process used to ensure accuracy of the information supplied on the FAFSA. Approximately 30 percent of the students who complete the FAFSA are randomly selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education.

*The Office of Financial Aid will determine eligibility and award the student accordingly. Registered students can view their financial aid award by logging into BannerWeb and selecting the financial aid tab.  

Associate’s Degree Scholarships

If you have completed your associates degree at certain area colleges within three years of enrolling at Jefferson, you may be eligible for a partial scholarship. Applicants with a graduating GPA of 3.0-3.49 are eligible for a 20% tuition scholarship, and applicants with a graduating GPA of 3.50-4.0 are eligible for a 25% tuition scholarship. Scholarships continue throughout the bachelor’s program as long as a GPA of 3.0 is maintained.

City of Philadelphia Employee: As a Philadelphia city employee, both you and your spouse or partner are eligible to receive a 25% discounted tuition rate in Jefferson's Accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree Program.

Philadelphia Carpenters JAC Graduates of the Philadelphia Carpenters JAC receives a 25% tuition discount and transfer 48 credits toward Jefferson's Accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree Program.

The Alliance: Employees of members of The Alliance of Community Service Providers receive a 25% tuition discount toward Jefferson's Accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree Program.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies Graduates: Graduates of Jefferson’s OTA program receives a 20% discount to the bachelor’s degree program if they enroll within three years of graduating from the OTA program.
