Global Medical Brigade

Part of what makes your experience in the Jefferson health sciences program is your ability to make a real difference in the world as an undergraduate, at any point in your education – even your freshman year.

Each year, Jefferson students join with the Global Medical Brigade, an international organization of students and medical professionals who work in underserved communities to staff and implement sustainable health systems. Over the years, our students have gone to rural communities in Central America and Africa.

While there, health science students work alongside doctors, dentists and pharmacists to triage patients, assist with medicine distribution, and provide health education.
