Jefferson offers six accelerated combined BS/MS degree programs associated with Health Sciences for students who know early on that they want professional careers as physician assistants, occupational therapists, dieticians, athletic trainers, counselors, or medical laboratory scientists and biotechnology professionals. These programs allow students to complete the undergraduate and graduate degrees more quickly than if they pursued each degree separately. Applicants to these programs are accepted as freshmen and they remain in their respective programs until completion of the graduate degree, provided they meet progression criteria. Students fulfill major requirements for the BS during their first three years of undergraduate coursework and proceed to graduate-level work during their fourth year.
