Sugu Tomar is the Senior Artificial Intelligence & Digital Product Specialist at URBN, where she is spearheading Digital Product Innovation for over six years now, building on 16+ years of Technical Design Industry expertise. Renowned for her work at the intersection of AI-driven Human-Centric Design and Responsible Technology, she has been invited to serve as a Subject-Matter-Expert on panels at major industry events such as PI Apparel. Well-traveled globally for Production-Sourcing, Sugu is highly proficient in vendor relations, factory operations, and has excelled as a Sourcing Lead in the retail industry. She leverages advanced technologies to reimagine Design workflows and to accelerate speed-to-market. A dynamic leader and educator, she has trained 300+ professional designers in Generative AI, 3D technology, and prompt engineering to enhance Creativity, Fit accuracy and Efficiency.

Sugu holds a BDes in Knitwear Design Technology from NIFT India, where she first engaged deeply with production and manufacturing technologies, and an MS in Fashion Design Technology from Drexel University where she focused her research on Innovation in Fashion. Prior to URBN, she has held key roles in Production Industry and has consulted with global brands including Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren, and Target.
