Jefferson’s Marcus Institute of Integrative Health is teaming up with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM) to host a first of its kind, leading-edge educational summit. Join us for CME credits, clinical toolkit workshops, historic tours, professional networking, and more.

Focus on Integrative & Whole Health Practitioners

This year we will be concentrating on our integrative clinicians and practitioners from all areas to offer leading-edge continuing education lectures and panel discussions on Friday and Saturday. In addition we will offer a half-day Advanced Practice Toolkit immersion for in-person attendees that will offer tips and tools you can take to your practice when you return.

We will also address and discuss the impact of the changing climate and environment in health and medicine and on our community of integrative health practitioners.

Lunch Included

In-person conference attendees will be served healthy lunches on Friday and Saturday. Coffee/tea service will be available throughout the conference. 

Exhibit Your Expertise.

Exhibitors will have two days of the conference to exhibit: October 24 and 25. The exhibit hall is located directly next to the conference sessions and is where the breaks are held, guaranteeing quality interaction with attendees. Representatives of exhibiting companies are also invited to attend food and beverage functions, offering many opportunities outside the formal exhibit times to interact with conference attendees and expert faculty. While we cannot guarantee booth traffic, we make every effort to promote and encourage attendees to visit the exhibit hall.

Workshop Part 1:
Integrative Approach to Pain Management

Pain is one the most prevalent and challenging complaints seen by all health disciplines. Learn the  patient-centered, interprofessional and integrative approach developed by our experts at the Veteran’s Health Administration and the Marcus Institute of Integrative Healthcare. Be able to apply the most evidence-informed and satisfying interventions tailored to each patient’s specific presentation, pathophysiology and psychosocial situation. These renowned clinicians will offer specific and practical approaches to pain patients, emphasizing the role of non-pharmacological interventions that target the neuromusculoskeletal. Led by: Branson J. Collins, MD, FAAMFM, ABAARM, Anthony J. Lisi, DC, and George Zabrecky, DC, MD

Workshop Part 2:
Integrative Brain Health

Learn from top experts in the field how to optimize brain function and the latest cutting-edge strategies for preventing cognitive decline. Focused assessment strategies, including a review of brain imaging, precision medicine profiling, and functional neurological testing, will be discussed. Treatment protocols will highlight scientific advancements in integrative health care. This will be an interactive experience with case examples from Marcus Institute’s Optimal Brain Program. Led by: Nathan Handley, MD, MBA, and Andrew Newberg, MD

Vetri Culinary Medicine Workshop

Vetri Community Partnership will offer a 2-hour Culinary Medicine workshop designed for healthcare providers and wellness community members. This workshop will provide attendees the opportunity to participate in a hands-on cooking class, learning cooking skills and health-promoting recipes.  This workshop is designed to empower you to think about how you can use culinary medicine in your own clinical practice, as well as give you a toolkit to support your patients in expanding their own nutrition knowledge and skills. 

Vetri Community Partnership is a non-profit organization whose mission is to nourish minds, bodies, and communities with nutrition education through cooking. We inspire people of all ages to develop the knowledge and confidence to make nutritious choices and build life skills for a healthier future. We are committed to providing approachable and accessible programs that foster a sense of belonging for members of our community.

Date: Sunday, 10/26/25 10:00 AM -12:00 PM (with time to enjoy the lunch you prepared)

Location: The workshop will be hosted at Vetri Community Partnership’s Teaching Kitchen at 915 Spring Garden St. in the North Poplar neighborhood. It is about a 15-minute walk (.6 miles) from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and accessible by public transportation or Uber, Lyft, or taxi. There is metered and un-metered street parking nearby.

Registration: Fees cover the design and delivery of this Culinary Medicine workshop, including ingredients, supplies, and Vetri Community Partnership staff time. Space is limited to 40 participants, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of 20 people must register to hold the workshop. If the minimum is not met, we will notify registrants via email and refund the registration fee.   

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Thomas Jefferson University and the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine. Thomas Jefferson University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Physicians: This educational activity is designated for a maximum of 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: This activity awards 16.25 nursing contact hours.

Other Healthcare Professionals: This educational activity is designated for 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Psychologists: This activity awards 16.25 credits.

AAFP: The AAFP has reviewed Integrative & Whole Health: Where Science Meets Body, Mind, and Spirit and deemed it acceptable for up to 16.25 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s).
