Dr. Richard Derman serves as the first Associate Provost for Global Affairs at Thomas Jefferson University. He is responsible for overall coordination of global activities that include collaborative research, educational exchanges, and clinical initiation. He also directs the India Working group which includes his long-standing research collaborations with KLE University, Karnataka, India.

His office also supports the country specific efforts in Europe, China, India and Africa; and helps direct the Global Health International Committee (GHIC). The associate provost also facilitates integration of global health opportunity with TJU’s academic partners.
