All MS in Health Communication Design students receive free access to the Adobe Creative Cloud. For more information, visit our Adobe Creative Cloud page. Other software may be advantageous, depending on the specific needs of a project.

Cloud-Based Storage

To protect your work product, plan to back-up files regularly with a cloud-based storage tool of your choice. Popular options include Google Drive, iCloud, Adobe Cloud, Dropbox, Box, and Microsoft One Drive.

General Supplies

Notetaking supplies are expected for all courses. Common required textbooks and supplies will be identified in each course syllabus. As the program supports customized learning experiences, students may require additional supplies to support the unique nature of an individual project.

A 24-inch monitor (or larger) for home use is helpful. For online instruction periods, it is valuable to simultaneously use your laptop screen for online meeting interface and the larger monitor for design work production.

An iPad or tablet is a useful tool, but it is not required.

Digital Camera

A high-resolution digital camera is not required, but many students prefer to have their own.
